Smoked Chili Salsa  
Makes 2 cups. Serves 8.

can chipotle chiles in adobo sauce  
C boiling water  
Tbsp tomato paste  
Tbsp strong red wine or balsamic vinegar or more to taste  
Tbsp brown sugar  
Blend the chiles and water together in a food processor or blender until smooth.  
Add the other ingredients and blend again.  
Taste and adjust the flavorings as desired.  
Serve salsa with beans, eggs or in soups.

grams saturated fat); 0.3 grams protein; 2.1 grams carbohydrates; 0
